Sorry it's long.
- Well, we are just about done with the shed. YAY! It feels so good to say that. Nate just has a few little hooks and things to put up inside and then load all of our stuff into it. It has been a long project, but it looks amazing... and it will be cool to say that Nate built it (with a little help from friends and family THANKS).
- I am feeling overloaded with housework, and everything! I actually have felt that way most of the summer. Hopefully after we get a few more things out of the way, then i can focus and get my house back in order.
- Ryan is into everything. Keeping him from climbing and getting into things (especially the toilet) is a full time job. The bathroom has become his coveted place to be, simply because he isn't allowed in there anymore, and he spends all day climbing on top of the chairs to reach the kitchen table and the piano. He is now a force to be reckoned with. Which explains all the fighting going on at my house. Ryan gets into stuff, maddie gets mad, they scream and hit, and then cry because they both get in trouble.
- Because of all the fighting, Maddie is having a hard time, and said the funniest thing a few weeks ago. She was in trouble once again for hitting her brother, and after screaming in her room for a few minutes, she came out and we sat down to talk about it. I asked her if she could think of a better way to fix it if Ryan gets into her stuff. She was pretty upset and then finally just said "Why don't we just throw him out" and she was dead serious too. I had a hard time not laughing, and kept reasoning with her, but she just kept saying "no, i just want to throw him out." needless to say we still had to keep talking for quite a while longer to convince her that there were better alternatives.
- Maddie gets her tonsils out next wednesday. For some reason she panics anytime we talk about it... therefore, the reason for my earlier post. I have been trying to think of ways to calm her down, but i'm afraid we are just going to have a screaming girl at the hospital. Funny thing happened when we were trying to determine whether or not we needed them out.... She had to do a respiratory test overnight, where they gave us a machine to clip on her finger to wear to bed, to check her breathing through the night. It had a red lazer on it, and so her finger looked red. I put it on after she fell asleep and then she woke up in the middle of the night and came into my room and said she just had a terrible dream about ladybugs getting her fingers. poor girl. i took her back to bed and showed her this thing she had to wear on her finger and she asked me if it would help keep the ladybugs away from her finger. :)
- Long overdue pics from maddie's first day of preschool. She is having a lot of fun going to preschool and loves to show me what she made each day when she comes home.

- Long overdue pictures from camping. Ryan looks so grown up, but still doesn't know to not eat the sticks or rocks.

Here's Nate telling scary stories.

We went swimming the next day at Pineview.

- The MADDIE-ISM for the week: (you probably had to be there, but i thought it was pretty funny.) So, Maddie was told to find her shoes so that we could go to the store. She asked Nate for help to find her shoes and he couldn't really help her so he asked "where did you have them last?" Maddie said "on my feet."
